I love this recipe because it combines healthy animal fat with nutritious green beans and mushrooms. The balsamic adds sweetness and a depth of flavor the compliments the dish well.
Over medium heat, add bacon to a pan and cook. The fat of the bacon will begin to fill the pan. Once bacon is cooked, remove bacon by placing in a bowl. Add green beans and mushrooms to the fat in the pan. Allow these to cook in the bacon grease until al dente (about 7-10 minutes or so). Add balsamic and reserved bacon in to the pan and cook for about another minute to infuse flavor. Serve warm.
