Heavy bags and purses can cause us to compensate by altering our posture. This change in posture, when repeated over time, can cause abnormal and unwanted wear and tear on the joints of the shoulder, spine, hips and even the legs. Muscles will also compensate causing tension and pain.
Our advice, keep bags and purses light and use a roller bag for heavier loads. Chiropractic adjustments can help ease the discomfort of repetitive stresses such as this. It's also a great idea to get an adjustment after traveling with bags and airplane flights.
