Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a repetitive stress injury that can result from overuse of the hand and wrist. Patients who have carpal tunnel usually develop it as a result of excessive typing, knitting or playing the piano. It can also result from or be made worse with inflammation or injury to the wrist.
