Should I see a chiropractor after my auto accident?
Absolutely. Chiropractors are highly skilled and trained in the detection and correction of improper biomechanics and soft tissue damage caused by the accident. Medical doctors may clear you for major life threatening conditions, however, they do not address underlying injuries that may cause long-term chronic pain. If left untreated, these underlying injuries can lead to pain, poor posture, muscle tension/spasm and osteoarthritis. Medications may help alleviate pain but they will not treat the injuries, they will only mask the pain.
Will my treatment be covered?
Yes, only in a few rare circumstances will a patient pay for their care. Treatment is provided and the insurance is billed.
Should I see an attorney before I see a chiropractor?
You should be checked out by a chiropractor first. After your initial examination, we will be able to refer you to an attorney if necessary.
Should I settle?
Insurance companies will often ask to settle following your accident. We recommend that you do not sign or settle until you have been properly examined and cleared for all injuries. Chiropractic and medical treatment will be denied after you settle.
